Graphic designer for Quaestor of European Parliament Marcel Kolaja
Marcel Kolaja, Pirate Member and Quaestor of the European Parliament, is looking for a
reliable graphic designer. As a graphic designer, you will be called upon to perform a
multitude of tasks, including:
photo and video editing
creating video subtitles;
creating infographics for social media;
creating posters and roll-ups for our events;
managing and supervising all technical aspects of photos and videos that needs to be
uploaded;
creating graphics and HTML5 banners for on-line campaigns;
coordinating your work with the communication team;
proactive creation of photo/video and graphic content;
We expect:
experience in editing photos, videos;
experience with editing programs;
experience with graphic design;
experience with web design and HTML5;
experience with graphic designs for both, print and on-line, campaigns;
experience with web visuals and webdesign of microsites
team spirit;
Fluent in Czech or Slovak, and English; proficiency in French or other languages is an
asset;
Experience with the same or similar position;
Personal integrity and professional approach to the work;
Passion for Open Source Software and other open technologies;
Enthusiasm for working in an international team;
Willingness to occasionally travel to Strasbourg, Czechia, or on other missions;
Full support for transparency in public affairs as well as deep respect for privacy in
personal matters.
We offer:
part-time contract (approximately 60 – 70 hours per month)
The length of contract will be 1 year with the possibility of extension for the rest of
the term;
Salary based on experience and in accordance with Parliamentary regulation;
Possibility to work on policy later when you master the administrative tasks;
Home office or possibility to use offices in Prague and Brno
Work in the best political party with possibility to participate in a meaningful and
transparent policy.
The applicant shall send the necessary documentation by 13.2.2022 with subject “Graphic
Designer”. The condition for being included in the selection procedure is to send a structured
CV, graphic portfolio and an example of graphic designs assigned as following:
Assignment for graphic designs: In the European Parliament, Mr Kolaja will actively
negotiate the new legislation on artificial intelligence. Prepare following graphic designs
reflecting what is the legislation about and what are Marcel’s main priorities:
- Instagram carousel
- HTML5 banner for CNN Prima News according to technical specifications:

The winner’s CV may be published.
The nomination team has the right to extend the deadline. The first round is done by
evaluating the CV, graphic portfolio and the assignment. The evaluation is carried out by an
evaluation committee composed of representatives of the MEP. Second round by personal
interview.
Preferred starting date
After approval by the MEP as soon as possible.
