Sprint introduces mobile data throttling on Virgin Mobile US

Virgin Mobile US will still market the data allowance on its tariff as unlimited, which technically it is, but said that users who exceed 2.5GB in a month will have their speeds cut. The throttling will begin in October and the firm claims this will affect only three per cent of its customers.

Outraged at the decision to sue a Czech high school student for €5 million for running a site linking to pirated material, the Czech Pirate Party has launched Tipnafilm.cz, a linking site of its very own. With the new site, "we unequivocally declare open war on the Anti-Piracy Union," said Czech Pirate Party Vice President Mikuláš Ferjencik.
