Pravidelný pracovní mumble s PPs

30. června se konal mumble meeting týkající se akcí a reakcí kolem Edwarda Snowdena s cílem zjistit, co které strany v této kauze dělají a mj. se inspirovat, poučit, pomoci.
Výstupem se mimo konkrétní nápady stala především idea sjednocení aktivit proti podobným projektům, jako je NSA a PRISM, TEMPORA & spolupráce a propagace lokálních cryptoparty - podle tvůrců totiž chybí komunikace na neformální úrovni a dochází tak často k neefektivitě práce či duplicitě projektů.

Proto se rozhodli pořádat pravidelná mumble setkání s volnou agendou každu neděli v 8pm v srbské mumble místnosti Piratska Partija Srbije (Piratenpartei NRW).

Považuji to za zdárný nápad; dosavadní komunikace hlavně skrze mailing listy mi přijde až tragicky nepřehledná. Dnes se osobně zúčastním (a zvu i vás, přijďte, i kdyby jen poslouchat!) a večer dám echo, využívá-li idea svůj potenciál. :) Pokud ano, bude toto vlákno následně sloužit ke sdílení výstupů z meetingů (podle jejich charakteru).

Due to the high level of interest expressed in the Facebook group Pirate
Party Admins, it was decided to hold a meeting to
discuss ways to react to the events surrounding Edward Snowden, his
revelations and the reaction of governments and the public.
This meeting was held in mumble on Sunday 30th June 2013 at 20:00 to
discuss the possibilities.

The purpose of the meeting was to get to know each other and explore
avenues of action. In the meeting three main themes developed.

How to support the ongoing project(s) to bring the UK government before
the courts for human rights abuses coming from TEMPORA and possibly the
US government for PRISM. We discovered that there are several parties
working towards this goal without being fully aware of each others
existence: PPNO, PPNRW, PPSR, PPES and PPIS are involved to some extent.

To take up the PPAT project along with others e.g. PPRS to promote
crypto-parties and anti-prism technologies - combine them with other
initiatives (both Pirate and external) and use them to inform and teach
citizens and maybe combine them with the coming September elections and
with an eye on the EU elections.

We feel that there is a need for international cooperation at an
informal level that is not being met. It would be a good idea to use
this energy for the good of the movement and would help reduce
unnecessary duplication of activities.
There is a need to involve the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions and
this can be met by using existing friendships and personal contacts
until formal organisations, such as PPEU can
meet some of these needs. To promote on and off-line international
contact between Pirates at all levels.

We want to look at ways to be able organise as groups of Pirates from
diverse countries in support of a single or several parties that
have a need to operate on a matter that is international in nature.

A regular meeting will be held each Sunday at 20:00 CEST in the Serbian
mumble room "Piratska Partija Srbije".

EDIT: Jelikož minulou neděli nebylo setkání tak produktivní, jak jsem očekávala, podám report až po této neděli, kdy si budu moci utvořit ještě trochu bohatší obraz. :)
