diplomatická nóta PP-IT: dvě PP v Itálii
Napsal: 08 pro 2011, 10:44
Ahoj,
přišlo nám následující oznámení a žádost z PP-IT:
--snip
To the Board of the Pirate Party International and to the national
leaders of the PP.
On the past 20 of October, we discovered that Mr. Marco Manuel Marsili
and a small group of other persons set up a new Pirate Party in Italy
(pirateparty.it).
Actually, we did not appreciate that they decided to set up a new
Pirate Party without even informing us (while we know that they
informed many of you).
But we thought it was wise to evaluate first who they were and what
they did: all real pirates are welcome in the movement of the Pirate
Party (we thank Samir Allioui for trying to mediate with this
"alternative" Pirate Party).
Now we can say that we do not like what we found.
This false Pirate Party does not promote digital freedom in any way
and consists of people who come from old-style politics, and that is
expert in creating the stalking horses slates to baffle the voters.
The President of the false Pirate Party was part of the board of
various organizations representing the music industry and wrote in our
public mailing list that "they live connected to the keyboard and if
you pull the power they die." (referring to us)
He also made statements that show that he's completely uninterested in
the reform of the copyright and patent system (terms that in fact
never appear in their Manifesto:
http://www.pirateparty.it/?page_id=20). Their board even include a
discographic manager (Emilio Lanotte) who has been an "active member
of FIMI anti-piracy commission"
(http://www.djing.it/view_news.asp?ID=99) [FIMI is the Italian
Federation of Music Industry].
Moreover, they began to "collect" elected officers from other parties
and slates (as reported on their own site:
http://www.pirateparty.it/?p=784), including Max Loda, who some years
ago created a racist slate called "Stop Immigrates" which was
advertised by himself portrayed with a baton in his hands
(http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanholy/155530869/).
They announced that they will participate in the upcoming elections as
"Pirate Party". We think that if this happens it will damage to the
Pirate Party movement and reputation in Italy and worldwide.
So we decided to protect the name of the Pirate Party and we asked a
Court to prevent them from using the name, identity, and and logo of
the Pirate Party, on the ground that they misuse our name and symbol
(the flag-like "P"), provoking a lot of confusion in the public and on
newspapers (we already read articles that were confusing their actions
with ours and vice-versa).
We ask you to support us in this effort by taking a public stand in
favor of us and against this false Pirate Party.
In particular, would the board of PPI mind to write a public statement
about the matter, maybe publishing it on the PP-International home page?
We enclose a copy of the application that we filed before the Italian
court in the past days.
We will keep you updated.

Případ půjde pravděpodobně před PPI COA, jak jsem již zmiňoval zde:
viewtopic.php?f=185&t=10228#p120127
Nicméně situace zřejmě není v působnosti COA, protože partito-pirata.it je řádným členem pirateparty.it ne. Nevím, co přesně by měla přinést medializace tohoto sporu v Česku, spíš bychom se měli ujistit, že všude linkujeme partito-pirata.it a ne pirateparty.it, což je v patičce http://www.pirati.cz správně.
Zdraví
