Cvičně jsem si zkusil přeložit úvod bodu Doprava, aby tu bylo aspoň nějaké srovnání. Rovnou ale říkám, že nemám čas dělat něco dalšího. Podtržené části jsem možná pochopil jinak, než to autor zamýšlel.

Transport Policy

Planning and funding of transport infrastructure must be transparent, cost-effective and open to all citizens. We will promote modern forms of transport that provide freedom of movement and choice.

We support open data about transportation. Software built on open data provides easier access to information about public transport, road traffic density, traffic during emergency situations and transportation needs of citizens. Accurate data are necessary for cost-effective transport infrastructure planning and getting better feedback.

Education, science and research
* We support education, science and research in all its forms as a principal condition of our universal success.
* Information technology enables everyone to access better quality education more easily and allows people to choose how they want to be taught.
* We support the education associated with experience on every level of the education system and the cooperation of schools with businesses. On the other hand we do not agree that the learning process should be reduced to simply gaining necessary knowledge and skills to work in specific job. Education must be versatile so that the worker is able to react appropriately to the changing structure of work activities as well as form interpersonal relationships.
* We uphold exceptions in patent law for non-commercial use, personal study and academic research. We support a free publishing service and allow access to academic research and materials partially funded by public budgets (in compliance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative).
Infrastructure
* Free access to basic components of communication infrastructure is the main reason for successful companies and individuals in the global market.
* The economy is also slowed down by efforts to regulate the internet. In order to maintain web neutrality it is important to support competition.
* It is needed to reduce bureaucracy for businesses as much as possible, because most of the paperwork can be done using the internet.
* We support free and open source software being used in schools and offices, which helps all citizens to access information and public administration services. This will mean that schools, as well as government and public administration services, will need to provide less money towards this.
* We support implementation of new payment methods (such as flattr, bitcoin).
Businesses (small businesses, work from home)
* We stand up for an easier tax system and legislation which allow small and medium businesses to be created, home entrepreneurship and also help to reduce tax avoidance.
* Implementation of flexible working conditions and working from home will have a positive impact- saving people time, resources and being stuck in traffic rush hours.
* We stand up for less government interference into businesses.
* We support a massive decrease in funding and “businesses style” based on funding.
The Czech Republic – Information safe haven
Our objective is to create a data and application “safe haven” by passing legislation, which would protect data storage providers and data centers from intelligence agencies and police raids. That would give us a real chance to revitalize our economy. We could become a superpower – The SaveData Bay. Building and running data centers will produce new job opportunities and will bring long-term income.

Chtěl bych se zeptat jestli jsou nějaké připomínky k tomu poslednímu překladu? A také jestli mám pokračovat s dosavadními překladateli nebo mám zkusit někoho jiného. To by pravděpodobně znamenalo zkusit někoho dražšího kdo bude ale také mít potenciálně lepší kvalitu.
Níže jsou body, které ještě zbývají k přeložení. Prozatím jsme utratili 1.280,-Kč.

Podle mě co do angličtiny po zběžném proletění dobrá kvalita.

Tučně zvýrazněné jsou minimální nutné opravy, aby úvod dával aspoň přibližně stejný smysl jako originál. Zbytek textu na tom není o nic líp. Ani takhle ale úplně nesedí slovosled.

koukal jsem na to asi 2 minuty, pouze vzorek textu

Překlad mě přijde bez gramatických chyb, ale dosti otrocký/nepřesný.

"V tomto konkurenčním prostředí můžeme obstát buď snižováním ceny pracovní síly, "
Dokážu si představit, že by anglicky šlo napsat daleko obratněji...
Navíc vidím, že v tomto případě vypadlo z překladu úplně slovo "konkurenční", které je tam docela důležité.

tady si myslím, že to není přeloženo přesně. montovna je něco jako výše uvedený "sweatshop", němci jsou world factory a v jejich případně to není špatně.

Přišel mi překlad bodu daňový systém. Další překlad jsem zatím nezadával. Zkusím oslovit firmy z výběrového řízení a zadat jim zkušební stránku na překlad.

Tax system
We promote fair taxes which enable the financing of good quality public services. If people can see their government is using tax money effectively, they will feel better about paying taxes.
Our goal is to balance the public budget and to settle the debt within the financial system reforms. We believe that through the transparency of the economic activity of authorities, e-government, reducing bureaucracy and introducing asset liability for politicians and officials, it is possible to significantly reduce costs/expenses. We will refuse tax increases until all the specified resources are used responsibly.
We apply the following tax principles
1. Clear tax laws. Tax laws are supposed to be written clearly so that every tax payer can understand them. They shouldn’t change all the time, contain a number of anomalies or enable officials to waive tax penalties. The government will provide free software for accounting and tax duties to all tax payers to help them as much as possible.
2. Reasonable amount of taxes. All-- taxes should have a defined limit for which the government don’t charge the tax payer (usual personal property in tax from property, minimum income level in income tax, company’s minimum turnover for those who pay VAT, family gifts in gift tax etc.) On the other hand carefully selected taxing of big corporations would work against creating monopoly in the tax system. In increasing taxes we will always consider the impact on overall tax collection.
3. Lower tax on work. The tax burden is held mostly by the working population. This has an effect of better competitiveness towards surrounding countries. It motivates people to work, create businesses and it eliminates illegal work. Work tax should be set at a fair rate, preventing taxation of those on lower incomes.
4. New taxation. The government spend large amounts of resources to create and help develop the market and public services. Every entrepreneur uses the market for their benefit and so should share the expenses. We endeavour to balance the tax on those things which are not yet taxed or ineffectively taxed (tax havens, major corporations, taxing of financial and land speculations, prostitution, drugs).
5. Use of technology. We will publish property and personal connections of corporations in a business register. We will also introduce automatized information processing about entrepreneurs, which enables tax collection within complicated property structures. We will use new technologies for automatic and anonymous account controlling. A tax office would only interfere in cases of reasonable suspicion.
6. Transparency of public sector. The public sector must be an example. Politicians and managers in public institutions will have to publish their budgets and declare their assets. Only entrepreneurs with transparent property structures paying taxes in Czech Republic could participate in public procurements.
Pirate party supports wider introduction of citizens into decision making. Citizens should have an option to participate in the creation of local budgets and contribute to public beneficial organisations by their own choosing – if the organisation is to be transparent, their donations could be deducted from taxes up to a set limit.

No, dá se tomu rozumět, ale jinak nic moc. Některým větám by hodně prospělo prohodit slovosled, například: "We believe that it is possible to significantly reduce costs/expenses through the transparency of the economic activity of authorities, e-government, reducing bureaucracy and introducing asset liability for politicians and officials."
Správně by věty neměly začínat na "If" - lepší je použít "Should", anebo změnit slovosled: "People will feel better about paying taxes if they can see that their government is using tax money effectively." Dále, "government spends", nikoliv "government spend" (government je tradičně jednotného čísla, i když teď s EU navíc by se o tom dalo polemizovat)....

Tyhle ukázky zdaleka nejsou všechno. Hlavní věc je, jak jsem psal již dříve, překladatel se musí naučit odstoupit s nadhledem od českého slovosledu a dávat to podstatné ve větě na začátek, nikoliv pačezky psát spoustu podružných podmíněných vět úvodem a to o co opravdu jde přilepit až nakonec.

Ano, tak je to v němčině.
Hele při současné úspěšnosti, co zkusit nějakou jinou uličku.
a) Prohnat všechno google translatorem
b) hodit to do padu k první opravě na alespoň nějakou češtinu - až to bude, všichni zúčastnění dostanou na virtuální konto 100/počet účastníků na úpravách
c) hodit na github k druhé opravě (vždy návrh opravy + schválení nějakým "odborníkem") - zbylý budget se bude dělit počtem navržených/schválených oprav

Obecně jsem zastáncem distribuované spolupráce, jenže tvořivá činnost, jako psaní, je pro takový způsob práce asi ten nejobtížnější úkol vůbec. Při opravách může docházet třeba k zacyklení atd a může to opravdu prospěšně rozhodnout jenom ten, který to umí nejlíp. Dobrý překlad je tvořivá činnost, podobná psaní něčeho poprvé. V jistém smyslu i obtížnější a nevděčnější, protože to ani nesmíš zlepšit tam, kde to opravdu potřebuje.
