Marcel Kolaja, Pirate Member and Quaestor of the European Parliament, is looking for a reliable copywriter and a PR support as part of the continuation of the "Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Age" project. The project focuses mainly on topics related to the digital agenda such as Internet regulation, artificial intelligence, cyber security, copyright, patents, education, media in the digital age and media freedom.
Requirements / qualifications / expectations:
Education in PR, journalism or academic education or other evidence of expertise;
Experience with copywriting in Czech and English;
Experience with photography and graphic design is an advantage;
Fluent Czech and English, the advantage is knowledge of French or other languages;
Enthusiasm for research;
Knowledge of digital topics;
Personal integrity and professional approach to work;
Enthusiasm for Free Software, Open Source Software and other open technologies;
Enthusiasm for working in an international team;
Willingness to travel occasionally, especially to Strasbourg and Brussels or to other missions.
Form and outputs during the cooperation:
Research;
Preparation technical topics articles for blogs, preparation of contributions to the media and social networks;
Monitoring the development of national and EU digital policies and media freedom;
Suggestions of research questions and possible solutions;
Web content management;
Preparation of texts for information campaigns;
Preparation of materials for podcasts, videos, banners, brochures and other materials;
Organization of events and debates;
Communication with partners;
Coordination of joint events with relevant stakeholders;
Support to the PR team: occasional drafting of posts, proofreading of texts, etc.;
Active participation in the creation of our communication strategy.
The duration of the cooperation is 1 year with the possibility of extension. Expected workload 40 hours per week.
Type of contract: Self-Employment
Starting date: is May 1 with some level of flexibility.
Requirements and conditions for participation in the tender:
Successful completion of all three rounds of the selection procedure.
- Delivery of a structured CV, cover letter containing a vision of working in the position in English and a price offer. The applicant will send the necessary documentation by 27. Candidates will be invited to the second round based on the evaluation of CVs and cover letters.
- Selected candidates will send samples of texts, articles or excerpts on digital topics based on the assignment.
- Based on the evaluation of the submitted samples, the selected candidates will be interviewed by Marcel Kolaja and team members.
