výňatek:
FB event:The meeting is going to be rather small, a handful of talks, workshops, discussions & panels as well as one public evening event.
The focus will be on three points
- We want members from southern Germany, Austria & surroundings to connect & exchange: German DSCs have learned a lot during the events in Berlin, Cologne & Hamburg (funding, information material, etc.) & can share their experiences with DSCs & members in countries of that region (we are reaching out to members in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Serbia, etc.)
Hopefully the event will also lead to the foundation of a DSC Passau.
- Talking about the subject of digital democracy, sovereignty & transparency: Most probably Cyborg rights activist & CC-election candidate Aral Balkan delivers the keynote speech & a talk from an Internet Security/Media Law professor will cover the legal side.
- Discussing internal & external communications in DiEM25: In collaboration with Democracy in DiEM we want to provide one table of the online DiEM Café on the politisation of DiEM25 (party issue) planned for the said Saturday afternoon & get a guest speaker talk about the development of a new software for internal communications/voting for groups.
We’re glad to welcome Sören from the DSC Hamburg & hope Mehran Khalili (DiEM25 communications advisor, former member of the CC) joins per live stream.
Furthermore, we are in contact with Tamara Ehs, co-founder of "Aufbruch", founder of the democracy repair café & lecturer on political enlightenment & try to win Sarah Spiekermann who works at IEEE, on social & ethical implications of computer systems, electronic privacy, disclosure behaviour & ethical system design as a speaker.
In Passau, we are collaborating with the University Passau & the Student Senate to get rooms & logistics in place.
We are currently planning the structure to be the following:
- Reception meeting for all who arrive on Friday evening (having dinner/cooking together)
- Keynote & talk on Saturday morning, workshops in the afternoon & public event in the evening
- Last panels/workshops on Sunday morning till early afternoon
